white is having a major moment this spring....

a head-to-toe white ensemble can be one of the toughest looks to pull off for a variety of reasons.  white is not slimming.  white isn't the most conducive to a girl on the go with her latte.  white can look very bridal - and not that is not a good thing...unless you're actually getting married that day.  despite all of this and more - you CAN wear white!

-be very mindful of cut - classic clean lines keep white blazers, tops, and trousers looking sophisticated and chic (reference Calvin Klein Collection for how to do clinical minimalism!).
-anything involving tulle is completely off limits when wearing white.
-add a punch of color (coral, red, yellow, blue...endless possibilities here!) in the form of lipstick, a handbag, or shoes to keep the look fresh.
-be mindful of proportion - loose fitting trousers should equal a fitted top to avoid looking sloppy.
-if your white involves sheer - wear nude underpinnings.  white under white isn't right.
-add a cuff, a smokey eye, red lips, or chunky bootie to toughen up a white look if it comes off as too virginal for your tastes.  be careful with  make-up so as not to look too Lolita-esque.
-look very carefully before you sit down anywhere! and be careful with that latte.
